  • Founded in the 19th Century, this British department store sells fashion collections for men and women, fashion accessories, beauty products, wine and food.
  •  In addition to its fashion retailing business, the client is redeveloped the top floor of its flagship store to create a restaurant, bar, café, wine shop, and food market, to reflect a similar model used in its other stores across the country.

The Challenge

  • It was for these reasons that the client engaged Astute IT to help create a response to these growing threats and the company’s strategic intent to increase investment across its Digital channels as well as its traditional Physical ones. The drive continues to be one to transforms itself internally to drive a greater vision recognised through innovation delivered collaboratively and driving towards best in class service and support.  

Our Solution

Astute IT designed and organised and maturity assessment that was carried out by a Trusted Advisor on behalf of the client over a period of six weeks comprising of four main activities, Structured interviews, A Stakeholder Self-Assessment survey, Product and Service Reviews and Client Industry, Strategy & Best Practise research. A consistent scoring scheme was used throughout to measure maturity based on levels from Beginner to Expert.

The Result

The review and subsequent data collation process resulted in over a 100 different findings and recommendations across both infrastructure and application disciplines. To accompany the finds a written report covering the engagement in detail was created along with supporting presentation packs for the IT leadership team and Board. This collateral along with Astute IT help resulting in the IT team being awarded the necessary focused and funding to start working through the recommendation in order of priority which the report outlined.
